                                                            The Cheese-Related Problems:
Weight Gain, Increased Blood Pressure, & Clogged Arteries

Apart from the effects of the casein or potential ethical issues, dairy-based cheese is typically high in calories and high in saturated fat.   Meanwhile, virtually all of the so-called ‘healthy’ vegan cheeses are made out of oil, nuts, or seeds.  All oil is 100% fat thereby often leading to excessive weight.  Far worse, all oil has saturated fat which converts easily to cholesterol that contributes to atherosclerosis (clogged arteries) and cardiovascular disease.  Clogged arteries, meanwhile, result in less volumetric space for blood to pass thru the vessels, which in turn lead to increased blood pressure.   This effect is further compounded because most cheeses are high in sodium.
As nutrient-rich foods, nuts are far better, but they are very easy to over consume (and many people when snacking have difficulty limiting themselves to a single serving.)  Furthermore, nuts and seeds also have both fat and saturated fat, which (despite the source) clogs the arteries just as easily as saturated fat from animal based sources.   To make matters worse, the average American eats over 40 lbs of cheese per year, and cheese is (not surprisingly) the largest source of saturated fat in the American diet.   Consequently, eating cheese (whether dairy or vegan) often causes people to gain weight, clog their arteries, and increase their blood pressure.

                         The Solution: Cheezilla
Cheezilla was made entirely while following the guidelines prescribed in both well known books, “Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease” by the Cleveland Clinic’s Dr. Esselstyn and “Dr. Dean Ornish’s Program for Reversing Heart Disease” by Dr. Ornish.   Therefore, unlike any other cheese currently on the shelves, Cheezilla is the first cheese in North America to have neither dairy, nor oil, nor nuts, nor seeds, nor gluten, nor soy.  Instead, Cheezilla is made almost entirely from potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and onions.
Therefore, not only does each serving have no saturated fat, but each serving has no appreciable amount of fat of any kind.  In fact, an entire pound of Cheezilla has only 3.5 grams of fat.   Thus, eating our cheese will not cause people to clog their vessels (and experience the negative effects of that clogging.)  Furthermore, at only 140 mg of sodium per  serving, Cheezilla is also (we believe) the lowest sodium cheese in North America.   Consequently, people with high blood pressure finally have a cheese that they can consume guilt-free.   Moreover, since Cheezilla is made from vegetables and has less than half of the calories per pound than it’s nearest fat-free competitor (190 calories compared to 600 calories from Kraft Fat Free Singles) Cheezilla can be eaten freely without causing people to gain weight.
In summary, people can eat ad libitum amounts of Cheezilla, while actually lowering their cholesterol, reducing their blood pressure, lowering their insulin resistance, and losing weight- and this is significantly unlike any other cheese that is currently being sold in North America.
